The Complete Chloroplast Genomes of Two Physalis Species, Physalis macrophysa and P. ixocarpa: Comparative Genomics, Evolutionary Dynamics and Phylogenetic Relationships

Physalis macrophysa (PMA) and ixocarpa (PIX) have significant economic, medicinal, ornamental value are often used in the fields of edible fruits, medicinal herbs, plants. In present study, we obtained complete chloroplast (cp) genome sequences PMA PIX, compared to cp 10 species, constructed phylogenetic tree among tribe Physaleae. The results showed that genomes PIX consisted a large single copy (LSC) region (87,115 bp 87,103 bp, respectively), small (SSC) (18,412 18,420 pair same-length inverted-repeat (IRa IRb) regions (25,604 25,674 respectively). two species contained 132 genes, including 87 encoding proteins, eight ribosomal RNAs (rRNAs), 37 transfer (tRNAs), which indicated strong similarities with respect structure gene content. repeat (35 40, respectively) simple-sequence repeats (SSRs) (61 60, Nine considerable nucleotide divergence were found, most located LSC SSC regions. selective pressure analysis genes affected by positive selection, Ka/Ks values greater than one.
